Artistic Concert Experiences (ACE) is the mixed singing ensemble, with choirs based in Glasgow (Wednesdays) and Inverkeithing (Thursdays). Embracing the joy of group singing, ACE offers a blend of musical theatre numbers with pop, rock anthems as well as popular standards. ACE Chorus is a non-audition singing group, with no requirement to read music.

Elevate your singing journey with our supportive community. We handle the harmonies and logistics so you can bask in the camaraderie and music. Culminating in a concert supported by a live band.

Perfect second choir if you enjoy singing in a mixed (Soprano, Alto, Baritone) ensemble! ACE rehearses for 12 weeks between August and November, resulting in a dynamic November concert!

ACE 2023 Concert Review by Mike Pendlowski (NODA)

This year ACE Chorus has relocated from the agoraphobic vastness of The Clyde Auditorium to the much more intimate atmosphere of The New Auditorium, located within the Royal Concert Hall building. Possibly, this formed part of the decision to use a much reduced orchestra (only five in the pit), plus, with a sudden change of performing dates, we saw a significant reduction in numbers of performers. That said, however, the quality of the performance did not suffer. Throughout the evening the chorus displayed a first class rapport with MD Richard Johnston in the wide variety of musical styles put to them.

MAC, Tenor ACE Inverkeithing

At ACE Chorus we sing a varied repertoire of songs, from light classics, through show tunes to contemporary pop songs. Rehearsals start in August and we work towards a show in November. The ability to read music isn’t vital, but it helps if you can follow a score. No auditions, and we usually have biscuits or home-baking at our rehearsal tea-breaks!

What a fantastic concert!  Superb venue with great acoustics. I have been to several ACE Chorus concerts, but enjoyed this one more than ever.  Loved the Grease medley, Bohemian Rhapsody and Reach.  The soloists were excellent especially liked Black Velvet.  I’m coming back next year!

Ace chorus!  What a talented bunch!  Every concert provides its audience with entertainment,  fun, variety, and professionalism.  Having been on 3 sides of the ace chorus – singing, audience and front of house, I can honestly say you cannot find a more fun bunch of people to be with.  If you’re looking to perform in ace then get in touch as rehearsals are great fun, run in both Glasgow and Fife. If you are looking for a fun nights entertainment then pop along to a concert – you won’t be disappointed – there’s something for everyone.

I’ve been attending the amazing ace concerts since the very first production, only missing a couple over the years. The chorus is always very polished and the soloists extremely talented. I love the programme which changes every year and ranges from the old favourites to the more up to date west end musicals. Richard Johnson, the MD, does a great job of keeping the orchestra and chorus all together and all in all a thoroughly enjoyable evening. I’m very much looking forward to the next one!

I love the opportunity to sing great chorus numbers from the musicals.  Add to this great choral arrangements of chart hits old and new, it’s a winning combination!   The choral leaders and accompanists are excellent and make rehearsals fun and enjoyable.  Music and rehearsal tracks are provided.

Concerts are held in top class venues on Glasgow, supported by musicians on stage.  Great fun for the chorus and great feedback from the audience.
